About South Jersey Catholic Medical Guild of the Diocese of Camden
The South Jersey Catholic Medical Association of the Diocese of Camden was chartered in the summer of 2003. In the summer of 2018 the organization attained Guild status and continues with the support of The Most Reverend Dennis J. Sullivan, D.D., Bishop of Camden. It is currently an autonomous chapter, but it shares the goals of the National Catholic Medical Association which is headquartered in Philadelphia.
The purpose of South Jersey Catholic Medical Guild is to profess and uphold the principles of the Catholic faith and morality as related to the science of medicine. It does this by offering opportunities for prayer and for education. It also serves to enable Catholic physicians to know one another better and to work together with a deeper mutual support and understanding.
Our mission is to form and support current and future physicians to live and promote the principles of the Catholic faith in the science and practice of medicine.
