About Denver Guild of the Catholic Medical Association
Our Association is a place where Catholic healthcare providers come together to grow in our understanding of the moral and ethical principles of our Catholic faith. We seek to engage and live our call to holiness, to get closer in our love for God through service to our patients, supporting one another as faithful Catholics, and to bear witness to the Gospel in our healing professions.
The Denver Guild of the Catholic Medical Association was initiated in January 2008. It is a collaboration among Catholic Physicians, Dentists, Nurses, Clergy, Psychologists and other Health Care Professionals. The group came together to meet the increasing need for Health Care Providers to be educated in the teachings of the Catholic Church as well as for Catholic Clergy to become more aware of the needs of Catholic Health Care providers. A Guild of the National Catholic Medical Association was established in October 2008. The guidelines for members and associate members follow the recommendations of the National Association.
The Denver Catholic Medical Association upholds the teaching of the Catholic Church on all medical and ethical concerns. Each member practices this teaching and cherishes life from conception to natural death. In all levels of patient care, the members are attentive to the dignity of each human person.
